Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Bible is God's complete and final revelation of the will of God to man and it is inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed. Therefore, the Bible is the final authority for faith and life. We value Bible-centered preaching and teaching as the foundation for all that we do. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)

God

We believe that there is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. He reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essences, or being.

  • God the Father

God the Father reigns with providential care over His universe. He is all powerful, all loving, and all wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. (Ex. 6:2-3; Deut. 6:4; Psa. 19:1-3; Matt. 28:19; John 14:6-13; Gal. 4:6; Eph. 4:6)

  • God the Son

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon HImself the demands and necessities of human nature and identifiying Himself compleletly with mankind, but without sin. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience through His death, burial, and resurrection. Jesus has made salvation possible through His work of redemption. (Isa. 53:1-12; Matt. 1:18-23, 28:1-6, 19; John 1:1-18, 11:25-27; Ro. 1:3-4, 8:1-3; Eph. 1:7, 20; Heb. 9:12-15; 1 John 1:7-9)

  • God the Holy Spirit

Man

Man was created by the special act of God and in His own image. In the beginning man was innocent of sin and was endowed by his Creator with freedom of choice. By his free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the world. Through the temptation of Satan, man transgressed the command of God and fell from his oringinal innocence. Only by the grace of God, through the work of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection can humanity be brought back into fellowship with Him. (Gen. 1:26-30; 2:5-7; 18-22; Rom. 3:23; Eph. 2:1-22)

Salvation

We believe that salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. (John 3:3-21; Ro. 8:1-18, 29-39; Eph. 2:8-9)

Church

We believe a New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of baptized believers who are associated by spiritual gifts and by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel. A New Testament church is committed to ovserving the two ordinances of Christ (baptism and the Lord's Supper), His teachings and Word, and seeking to extend the Gospel to the ends of the earth (Matt. 16:15-19; Acts 2:41-27, 5:11-14; 1 Cor. 1:2, 3:16, 7:17; 1 Tim. 3:1-15).

Family

God has ordained the family as the foundational institution. We believe that the only legitimate marriage is that joining of one man and one woman for a lifetime. Marriage is God's unique gift that models the way Christ loves the Church. We are committed to honoring the priority of family in our ministries. (Gen. 1:26-28, 2:15-25; Deut. 6:4-9; Matt. 19:4-6; Ro. 1:18-32; Eph. 5:22-33)

In Summary, we believe...

  • The Bible: authoritative, inerrant, our standard for truth and obedience
  • Christ-Centered Living: loving the Lord God with our whole hearts
  • Dependency on God for every area of our lives including our families
  • Prayer: indvidual and corporate prayer is crucial in the life of a believer
  • Equipping Believers for a passion-driven, gifted-based ministry
  • Missions: Taking Christ to the nations by giving, praying, and going
